Started with a smoker and a dream.
Back in 2012, Bobby and Linda Garrett opened Paluxy River Grill out of a simple belief: Glen Rose deserved a real sit-down restaurant where you could bring the whole family, order a cold beer, and eat food that tasted like it came from somebody's kitchen — not a factory.
Bobby grew up cooking on weekends with his dad. Linda ran the front of house at a Waco steakhouse for fifteen years before they took the leap. What started as 12 tables and a dream has grown into one of Somervell County's most-loved dining spots.
We're still family-owned. Bobby still runs the grill. Linda still greets every table. And we're still using the same recipes we opened with.

We sponsor Little League, donate to the food pantry, and hire locally. Glen Rose takes care of us; we take care of Glen Rose.
